I'm one of the publishers of All About Romance. I love reading romance, as well as mysteries, fantasy, history and historical fiction, and all kinds of other things. Staying on Goodreads for now but trying this out in case I decide to switch.
This book has all kinds of things not going for it. For starters, there's the improbability of a Scottish heroine whose mother was raped in front of her by the English growing up to fall for an Englishman. On top of all that, the heroine is all kinds of feisty, it gets a little purple prosy in places, and there's a fair amount of "I hate you but I want you" going on throughout the book.
And yet - there's just something about this one. Even though I know it's not flawless, I just can't help smiling when I reread it
